Back to school means we say goodbye to our first intern, Homer Leung!

He is heading back to University of British Columbia to continue his degree in civil engineering and hopes to go on to do his Master’s in Architecture.

WHAT HE LEARNED AT BESSIE

Homer gained experience working on a dynamic team devoted to ensuring great customer experiences, while taking an agile approach to scaling product development.

He worked with Bessie founder Spencer Kerber to create an application using python/flask, PostgreSQL, and Twilio APIs to send personalized SMS messages to Bessie customers. Homer also worked on dry goods performance testing.

WHAT HE BUILT AT BESSIE

Homer prototyped and built portions of the customer messaging platform we use to manage our deliveries! This messaging is a vital part of Bessie and supports our customers by offering delivery scheduling selection and customer support channels.
